Real Madrid's first preseason match ended in a 2-2 draw against Fiorentina
Endrick scored his first goal and Espí debuted.
Real Madrid and Fiorentina drew 2-2 in a friendly match in Austria, with 3 out of the 4 goals scored in the first half.
With the main Real Madrid stars still on vacation and the recent sale of Gonzalo García to Fulham, Endrick was the starting center forward and he didn’t waste his chance.
With just 12 minutes on the clock, Endrick controlled a pass from Carreras in the box, swiftly turned, and delivered a powerful shot for the opening goal—his first under Mourinho.
Real Madrid controlled the game and in the 24th minute, Camavinga entered the box, Endrick dragged his mark, and the Frenchman found Álex Ciria on the left side. The youngster placed the ball away from de Gea and into the net.
With a 2-0 on the board, Los Blancos were comfortable, dominated possession, and felt no real pressure. However, 4 minutes before halftime, Roberto Piccoli cashed in Fiorentina’s first dangerous play of the game, scoring with a shot to Lunin’s near post.
The second half started with the Italian team more convinced of their chances. They were attacking more and Real Madrid could not find their footing.
As a result, Moise Kean drew the game with a header that went in past a wrong-footed Lunin.
With almost half an hour to go, both teams brought in their substitutes—de Gea had already left the field for Christensen at halftime—and there were no more goals.
We got to see Carlos Espí for a few minutes and he even managed to have a chance. As expected, it was a long cross from Trent, in a display of the Englishman’s long ball abilities and the Spaniard’s aerial advantage.
The referee decided to end the match with no stoppage time with the final 2-2.

After the match, reporters had the chance to talk to Denzel Dumfries about playing in the right-wing position. “Yeah, I can play in different positions, I’m used to it, before I’ve played the whole right side, so I’m used to it,” said Real Madrid’s new signing.

Real Madrid will face the Hungarian team Ferencváros, at the Groupama Aréna (Budapest), on August 8, at 1:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CEST), in another friendly match. Next week the heavyweights of the team will be back and Mourinho will be able to have a better assessment of the team.
